Squatoll Terms of Service
Effective date: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Rashem Pandit ("Squatoll", "we", "us") governing your use of the Squatoll iOS app (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What Squatoll does
Squatoll lets you block selected apps on your device and unlock time in them by completing squat exercises, counted on-device via your iPhone's camera. Blocking is enforced by Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework and is subject to how iOS operates (see Section 6).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Squatoll is a self-management tool for your own device; it is not a parental-control service and must not be used to monitor or restrict another person's device.
3. Subscriptions ("Squatoll Pro")
The App's features require an auto-renewing subscription, purchased through your Apple account:
- Squatoll Pro Monthly — $9.99 per month
- Squatoll Pro Yearly — $49.99 per year
Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region. Where offered, new subscribers receive a 3-day free trial; you can use the full App during the trial at no charge.
Auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you have not cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown at purchase (or as subsequently notified to you through the App Store).
Cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
EU/EEA right of withdrawal. If — and only if — you are a consumer residing in the EU/EEA or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days without giving a reason. This right is exercised through Apple, the merchant of record: Apple's App Store terms implement it, and you can invoke it via reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple Support. Note that under Apple's terms, the withdrawal right may lapse once you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the service. This statutory withdrawal right is a feature of EU/EEA/UK consumer law and does not apply to customers in other regions (for example, the United States), where Apple's standard App Store refund policy governs instead (see Section 14).
Unused time. In-app "minutes" earned by exercising are a feature of the App, not money or a stored-value instrument. They have no cash value, are not redeemable, and expire when you delete the App.
4. Health and safety disclaimer
Squatoll involves physical exercise. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, injury, or are pregnant. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. You are responsible for exercising in a safe environment with adequate space. The App's squat detection is an aid, not a coach: it does not evaluate whether an exercise is safe or appropriate for you. The App is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risk of injury arising from physical activity performed while using the App.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except as permitted by law; (b) use the App in violation of applicable law; (c) circumvent, probe, or interfere with the App's technical safeguards; or (d) resell or redistribute the App or access to it.
6. Screen-time limitations
App blocking depends entirely on Apple's Screen Time framework and requires your explicit authorization, which you can revoke in iOS Settings at any time. iOS system behavior — including OS updates, Screen Time permission changes, device restarts, Low Power Mode, and platform limitations — can affect whether and when apps are blocked or unblocked. We do not guarantee that blocking is uninterruptible or tamper-proof. Squatoll is a self-discipline aid, and you remain responsible for your own device usage.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the App without obligation to you.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what data the App handles and is part of these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EXERCISE DETECTION WILL BE ACCURATE IN ALL CONDITIONS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE EXCLUSIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. Limitation of liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). For damage caused by simple negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), and in that case our liability is limited to the damage that is foreseeable and typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live remains unaffected.
11. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 4, 7, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected.
14. Region-specific provisions
Where a provision of these Terms is expressly limited to a region, it applies only to users in that region and confers no rights on users elsewhere:
- EU/EEA/UK consumers: the 14-day right of withdrawal (Section 3) and your statutory warranty and consumer-protection rights apply as described.
- United States customers: the EU 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to you. Refunds are governed solely by Apple's App Store refund policy. The disclaimers in Section 9 and the limitations in Section 10 apply to you to the fullest extent permitted by the law of your state; some states do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so parts of those sections may not apply to you.
- All other regions: these Terms apply as written, subject to any consumer-protection law of your country of residence that cannot be contractually waived.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page before they take effect; the effective date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Language
These Terms are provided in several languages for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by the mandatory law of your country of residence.
